15 Minutes of Fame
I'm off to Seattle again. This time I will be doing a lot of sitting around. I'm taking my sister for some medical tests - nothing serious, but she needs someone to drive her back and forth and wait, so that's what I'll be doing - waiting and knitting. I'll also help her celebrate her 60th birthday! Happy Birthday Sis!!
No time to post more than this - a link to my 15 minutes of fame in our local newspaper.

VERY cool! And it's more than 15 minutes, honey. It's a lifetime. You deserve it! Have fun in Seattle!

I could only have been nicer with a picture of you in your cap and gown. Congratulations on making the "good" news.

Might you hit some great Seattle yarn shops?

Women like yourself are an inspiration to those of us who are still raising our children and putting dreams on hold.

I notice they neglected to mention all the eyeball bleeding :)
Congrats on your fame and your achievement, Dorothy!
PS - There is a typo in the article, fyi, it says that you're 58 and that so can't be right :) Seriously, you don't even look 50!

That is just absolutely wonderful to be recognized by your community in print. I agree with Lorette. Your hard work has paid off and it lasts a lifetime. It is something that you can share with your grandchildren.

Congratulations. I hope to be starting a 2 year program to get my nursing degree in the next year. Some people say I'm too old at 45, but I just say, "I'm not done yet." Thanks for the inspiration.
